# Twitter Program

## **What is Twitter (X) Program?**

The Twitter (X) Program is an automated social media marketing tool that allows eligible Social Mining users to earn by promoting the project via their Twitter accounts.

Social Mining's Twitter Program features Twitter API connection, engagement & impression-based incentive mechanism, featured tweets, and auto-adding hashtags & mentions.

*Your connected Twitter account should follow each project's official X handle*
{% endhint %}

## H**ow to Earn Points & Reputation with Twitter Program?**

### Get started with Twitter!

You must fulfill specific requirements to earn Points & Reputation with the Twitter Program.

Besides connecting your Twitter (X) account, you have to ensure that it has more than the minimum number of followers required. This number varies on different Social Mining platforms.

In addition, some Social Mining platforms require users to have more than the minimum amount of Reputation needed to join the Twitter Program.

You can earn first Points by following the project's official Twitter account to begin your journey of becoming a Twitter influencer!

*At **DAO Labs**, we want to help our users to gain new skills and grow. To maximize your earnings, you need to try and improve yourself constantly. Do not worry, our team and community will help you.*
{% endhint %}

### Follow the instructions to make your first tweet

You must follow the instructions on the Social Mining Twitter Program page. The requirements may change daily. However, usually, it requests either to include a specific **#hashtag, @mention, or an HTTP link.**

**Follow the instructions shown on the platform and publish your tweet.**

### Submit & Get Rewarded

The V2 system is built for Self-Scan by users unlike the traditional V1 that evaluates how people interact with your tweet and grade the **quality** of your tweet **after 72 hours**.

**After Submitting tweets on the dashboard, you will see the results of your tweet in points on your dashboard and a notification about it.**&#x20;

## &#x20;Submitting a Tweet on V2

The Submit Tweet button lets you submit your own tweet to the engagement marketplace, where other miners can engage with it for rewards and you earn points in return.

### Tweet Requirements

Each project sets its own requirements. For example, submitting to DAOVERSE on @TheDAOLabs requires:

* **Minimum points:** 0
* **Minimum reputation:** 0
* **Minimum Twitter followers:** 25
* **Submission limit:** Up to 7 tweets per week
* **Reward potential:** Up to 150 points per tweet
* **Required hashtag:** #SocialMining
* **Required mention:** @TheDAOLabs

{% hint style="info" %}
⚠️ **IMPORTANT** &#x20;

*Always read the Tweet Requirements before submitting. Tweets that don’t meet the project’s requirements will not be accepted and qualify for rewards.*
{% endhint %}

### Editing Your Submitted Tweet

After submission, a 24-hour countdown timer starts on that project. During this period, you cannot submit a new tweet to the same project but you can still update the tweet you just submitted, as long as no one has engaged with it yet and you haven’t assigned anyone to engage.

<figure><img src="/files/8bQy02kRDkUTZfoc5nlM" alt=""><figcaption><p>Figure: Edit Tweet popup showing the 24h countdown and current tweet preview</p></figcaption></figure>

### Editing X tweet links

You can update your tweet only if:

* No one has engaged with it yet (no comments, retweets, or quotes)
* You haven’t assigned any miners to engage with it

Once the first engagement lands, the tweet is locked.

#### How to edit your tweet

1. Click the project bubble (e.g., **DAOVERSE**) showing the active 24h countdown.
2. The **“Update Tweet”** button will appear.
3. Review the Current Tweet preview to confirm it’s the right one.
4. Replace the link in the Tweet URL field with your new tweet URL.
5. Click Update Tweet to save the change.

#### Understanding the 24-hour cooldown

The countdown timer **(e.g., 24h 0m)** appears on the project bubble after submission. It shows how much time remains before you can submit a new tweet to that project. The timer resets each time you submit successfully.

### &#x20;Earning Points Over 7 Days

When you submit a tweet, you don’t just earn points once — your tweet continues earning for 7 days after submission, every time it picks up a new engagement.

#### Initial points

You receive points instantly after submitting a tweet, based on the tweet’s eligibility and any engagement it already has at the moment of submission.

### T**ips for earning more rewards with Twitter**

*The general rule is to create organic creative tweets, and you will earn the most rewards.*

A unique text is crucial for the Twitter Program. Besides excluding spam tweets from being rewarded, we want users to spend their time creating quality tweets that give users more rewards.

Accounts created only to farm airdrops, bounty campaigns, and giveaways with low-quality tweets will not be helpful to fellow crypto users. **Therefore we punish those harmful accounts through our Twitter algorithm.**

{% hint style="info" %}
***Each tweet should include unique text and proper (trending) hashtags**, plus having required hashtags over the platform, including trending hashtags of your tweet's topic.*
{% endhint %}

You can use [this website](http://www.hashtags.org/) to check if the hashtag you want to include is trending. The hashtag should have above 50 hourly mentions.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you tweet about DeFi or NFT, tag people interested in that topic. **We suggest focusing on micro-influencers rather than big ones since they have close to no-conversion rates.**
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Big influencers will most likely not engage with the tweet, meaning you need to be wise while tagging people. Make sure the user is interested in a topic you are tweeting about, and tag people who have close followers to you or just slightly above yours.
{% endhint %}
